Technology Host – There are two types of technology hosts listed below.

Technology Lab Host

Often viewed as a beneficiary, this type of partner is instrumental in the success of The Foundation. We need partners to physically host computer labs, ideally nonprofits or community centers who already serve at risk communities. It is our goal to not only donate technology to these parts of the community, but to educate those who are willing to learn. By hosting the space and facilitating provided lessons, your organization will be eligible for tech support and upgrades at little to no cost.

Student Support Organizations

Student Support Organizations also help us distribute technology into the hands of those in need. We work with organizations who support underrepresented students in the public education system. We rely on these partners to assist us in identifying which students are graduating high school and are in need of technology. We will then donate computers to these graduating seniors.

Even if we had all of the technology in the world, we need to deploy a strategy to get the devices in the hands of those who need them. One avenue for doing so is through The NERDiT Foundation’s Technology Host Lab program. This starts with a nonprofit or community center host who is already investing in underserved communities. We then partner with them to house a computer lab that is open to the public.

As a part of our mission to donate computers to graduating seniors who are continuing their education in the fall, we need organizations to help facilitate these donations. It is best for us to collaborate with a nonprofit that is already working with an underserved teen population. An organization who knows exactly which teens in their community come from environments where they need extra support. Where they do not have the finances to buy a computer for college.
